Searching for a property

All of the properties we have available are advertised on this site, simply click here and take a look through.

Our office is open Monday – Friday 7:30am – 5:30pm and 9am – 1pm on Saturday so give us a call if you would like to arrange a viewing. Outside of these opening times, or if you would prefer, you can select the “Email this Branch” link. You will be required to complete a short form and we will be in touch.

If you can’t see a property advertised that meets your needs, still get in touch and we can talk through some options with you. We may even have some on our books that are due to be advertised very shortly.

Applying for a property

The next step in the process is to arrange a viewing at the property you are interested in. We will do our best to accommodate a viewing at a time that suits you, the feasibility of this depends on the current property situation i.e the current property occupiers may/may not wish to be home.

Once you’ve found a property you would like to make your home, we will support you to go through an application process via our website. There are identity and reference checks that we are required to complete by law. Please visit our privacy policy for more advice on how we will process your personal data.

If you are in receipt of housing benefit, please let us know at the start of the process and we will support you in the arrangements of this.

A deposit will be required and this will be placed into the Deposit Protection Scheme.

Moving into your new home

When your application has been successful, we will agree a move in date between you and the landlord. You will be given all the documentation you need to support you throughout your tenancy, and we will meet you on the day you move in to complete one final check of the property. You will be given two keys to the property which you are required to keep safe.

Depending on the service your landlord has instructed us to undertake, we will either then hand you over to the landlord or continue to support throughout the term of the tenancy. Please see our Landlords page for further information on the services we provide.

Emergency call outs

If your landlord has instructed us to manage the property, we provide a 24/7 emergency call out. Please call the office on 01793 512345, selecting option 4 for emergencies only. The member of the Moovahome Team will assess your issue and agree a resolution between you, a tradesmen if required and the landlord.

Please note, you will be charged £50 including VAT if you are locked out of your property and require a member of the team to visit the property to allow you access. You will also be required to cover the costs of the key replacement.

Ending your tenancy

When your tenancy is due to end, we will discuss the different options with you. Should you wish to renew, we will liase with your landlord and look to put a new tenancy agreement in place. There is no need to complete the application process again and no fees apply to do this.

Should you wish to leave the property, we will support you to leave the property in an acceptable condition and handle the return of your deposit.
